The documentary "Bibian and the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games" tells the story about Dutch snowboard champion Bibian Mentel at the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games. Bibian Mentel won at Sochi 2014 the gold medal on the discipline para snowboard cross which was for the first time at the Paralympic Winter Games. Also she received the prestigious Whang Youn Dai Achievement Award, named after South Korean Dr. Whang Youn Dai. Bibian Mentel received the award at the Closing Ceremony. The award is for someone who is fair, honest and is uncompromising in his or her values and prioritizes the promotion of the Paralympic Movement above personal recognition. At the Opening Ceremony Bibian Mentel was the flag bearer for the Netherlands as well.
